How much of your spend is awarded without competition?
Three numbers you already know, and no sign-up. This tool does not estimate your savings — it tells you how much of your own spend currently goes out without a competitive event, and how many events competing it would take.
Your position
— of your annual spend is awarded without competition.
That is of your addressable spend, across — of — categories.
Where these numbers come from. Every figure above is arithmetic on what you entered — we have not applied a savings rate, a benchmark or a model. Spend is spread evenly across your categories, and competing a category is counted as one event a year, which is the conservative reading. The only outside number is the comparison: a laminates manufacturer on procurEngine reached over 300 sourcing events a month. That is their throughput, not a projection of your result.
Why we do not show a savings percentage here
Most vendor calculators end with a number like “you could save 12%”. We could print one too, and you would be right not to believe it — the assumptions behind it would be ours, not yours.
The honest position is that the price effect of adding bidders varies by category, by market structure and by how the event is run. We publish a 4–17% range because that is what one customer measured across their own categories, and we link it to the study it came from rather than presenting it as a rate you should expect.
What we can tell you without guessing is how much of your spend never sees a second quote. That number is yours, it is usually larger than people expect, and it is the part you can act on.
